MVRs should be ordered only for purposes as set forth in the Fair Credit Reporting Act. Information contained in the MVRs shall NOT be provided to anyone including the driver, MVRs are to be released ONLY to the insurance company, and CANNOT be shared with anyone else, including the driver. Drivers can be instructed how to obtain a copy of their own MVR (by going directly to the appropriate state's dept of transportation, or by going directly to USIS).
Wisconsin DOT (PARS)
Copies of MVRs ordered through the Wisconsin Dept of Transportation (PARS) can be provided to the insured/employer ONLY if written consent is provided by the driver.
